Shirley Burrell

Dear SCARA Member,

Very sadly we have received the following message from Kim and Karen Burrell. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

“It is with great sadness we have to advise that our mum, Shirley Burrell passed away peacefully on 25th May. She was 85. Shirley started work in the Barking office in 1973 in the Import department, moving on to work in the Export department in later years. Then at the Hainault office.

Shirley was well known to many of the SCARA members. She enjoyed many wonderful cruises around the world and had so many happy memories of working for OCL/P&OCL, and made some lovely friends.

The funeral is taking place on 18th June at Southend Crematorium at 2pm, unfortunately with limited numbers, but the family are hoping to hold a celebration of her life when it becomes possible.”
