SCARA notices - 2017 Reunion, Golf, Committee meeting and a Retirement

Dear SCARA Member,

Please note the following.

1. We are pleased to advise that the date has been fixed for our next SCARA reunion which is to be held on Thursday 2nd November 2017 at the Park Crescent Conference Centre, Great Portland Street, London. Full details will be sent later. A review of the 2016 event can be found on the PONLHeritage website.

2. The golfing event - the Rose Bowl Challenge, will be held on the 23rd May 2017 at the Bentley Golf Club in Essex. Please contact Adrian Malupa to book a place.

3. Our next SCARA Committee Meeting is scheduled for the 18th May 2017. If you have anything you would like to bring to our attention for discussion at that meeting would you kindly contact Christine Phillippo.

4. Lastly, I have heard from SCARA Member Owen McCann who tells me that he will be retiring from Maersk Line on the 31st January 2017 after 43 years, OCL, P&O Containers, P&O Nedlloyd and Maersk Line. He joined OCL in 1973 following completion of his A levels. On behalf of SCARA we would like to wish Owen a long a happy retirement.
