We have received the sad news from Bob Ingram of the recent death of SCARA colleague Ken Macdiarmid:
I am sorry to advise you that Ken Macdiarmid passed away on Saturday 19th July at the age of 92.
Ken had been in a nursing home for some 18 months suffering from Parkinson's disease and was admitted to Exeter Hospital last Friday.
Ken joined Containerbases from British Rail in about 1968 and became Operations and Sales Director for the group working from Finsbury Square and later Barking.
On the dissolution of the Containerbase Head Office in 1987, Ken was appointed as General Manager Jeddah and in 1989 moved to General Manager, India.
Ken leaves his wife, Sharon, whom he met when she was a secretary working in Bombay (now Mumbai).
I worked closely with Ken in his Containerbase days. He was an excellent boss, colleague and great friend.
