John King

SCARA have received the following sad news from Norman Waller:

"You may well have heard from others but just in case you haven't, I have received a card today from John King's 3 daughters advising that he passed away last Thursday, 11th and his funeral will be held at 1145 on Monday, 22nd October at Chelmsford Crematorium, Writtle Road, Chelmsford: CM15 3BL.

Those of us involved in the Arabian Gulf trade will remember him with great respect and affection; he had many a fight with us in Sales trying to get the rates down to please our Customers and John and Jack Playfair holding on tight to whatever revenue they could retain in a highly competitive market.

A very sad loss."
