John Agnew

Dear SCARA Member,

Very sadly we have been advised that John Agnew died on Monday 26 October 2020. Gerry Askham very kindly sent the following message.

"John's daughter Susan phoned me this morning to say he died peacefully yesterday after a short illness and was very frail.

He and I worked together in 123 Houndsditch in the early seventies under Harry Lunn in the Cargo Dept. He will be remembered for amongst many things for being the author of the first comprehensive Cargo manual for OCL and working with Uncle Jack Huntly on the first definitive book on containerisation.
