Very sadly we have received news of the death of our friend and colleague Greg Guthrie.

We send our condolences to his family and our thanks to his daughter Adele for sending the following message.

R.M.Guthrie – Gregor Guthrie,

Very sadly, Gregor died unexpectedly at home on November 21st 2022 at the age of 82. He and Ishbel (his wife of almost 57 years) had been enjoying family life that weekend with his daughters and grandchildren and had been on great form making arrangements for a family Christmas. Following his retirement in 1999, after almost 30 years of working in operations for OCL then P&O Containers, they had both been very active grandparents and also travelled extensively, including many trips involving steam trains and returned home each time with more entertaining experiences.

As was his very clear directive a direct cremation has already been held, however we are holding a celebration of life lunch on Friday 20th January at Bartellas Restaurant, Writtle Road, Margaretting, Essex.
