SCARA are very sorry to advise that a dear friend and colleague, Geoff Gower, passed away 25th July 2026.
Geoff had a long and varied career with OCL/P&O Containers/P&O Nedlloyd, including positions in Saudi Arabia and the UK.
There will be no formal funeral service but a gathering to 'CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF GEOFF' will take place in Layer-de-la-Haye, Essex on Saturday 15th August 2026.

Geoff joined the New Zealand Shipping Company as a cadet after leaving school, rising to the rank of 3rd officer.
He came ashore after his marriage and subsequently joined OCL working in FE Trade. Later Geoff moved to Jeddah taking up the position of Commercial Manager.
Some years on Geoff returned to work in London and then, due to change in personal circumstances, left to start a new career in farming.
Lots of ups and downs. Very sadly Geoff's wife Val died. Geoff sold the small holding he then owned and returned to OCL/PONL where he remained until retirement.
Geoff leaves Mary, his partner for the last 30 years and Kirsty his daughter.
