Essex Curry Lunch 21 March 2024

We are very pleased to announce a Curry Lunch at the Panahar restaurant 18 King Street, Stanford Le Hope, Essex.  This highly recommended restaurant is a three minute walk from Stanford Le Hope station, (C2C) and also has ample on street parking outside, as well as nearby King Street car park, Stanford le Hope SS17 0HL.  There is also a good pub nearby called the Rising Sun in Church Hill for those wishing to enjoy pre-lunch refreshments.

The Lunch will start from 14:00 and we should be away from the restaurant by 16:45 please.

We are hopeful that before the lunch there will be a mini bus tour to the Dubai Ports World Container Terminal at nearby London Gateway, starting from the Panahar restaurant prior to the lunch.

The cost of the meal with starter, main and side dishes will be £19.95 per person.

We do hope you will be able to join former OCL, P&OCL, P&ONL, TCS and Maersk colleagues at Stanford Le Hope in 3 weeks or so for a very enjoyable lunch amongst friends and former colleagues. Partners are welcome and numbers limited to around 50.  Shore based and sea staff are all welcome.

We would like to have an idea of numbers (including if partners attending) as soon as you can please and also stating preference for Lamb Bhuna, Chicken Tikka Masala or Vegetable Jalfrezi to help with the catering arrangements.  An English meal will also be available.  The menu is attached to this message.  If you could indicate any interest on the minibus tour to London Gateway as well that would be helpful.  That tour would leave the restaurant at 12:45 and numbers are very limited.
