Derek Gibson

SCARA have received the following sad news from Dudley Robertson:

I am very sorry to have to advise the sudden death on 8th October of my brother-law Derek Gibson.

Scara members of a certain age may remember Derek who was the Marketing Manager of Container Agencies OCL's agents in Kuala Lumpur when the Far East service started there in the early 70's.

Derek moved on to Taiwan where he joined Maersk whom he served with distinction in the Far East and thence to OOCL in Hongkong. He retired in 1997.

His funeral is at St Joseph's Church here in Callander on Wednesday 17th October at 2.30pm.
