60th Anniversary for OCL & the 2025 OCL Bay Boats reunion

60th Anniversary of the formation of Overseas Containers Limited - Sixty years ago today, on 27 August 1965, OCL was officially incorporated.  How that company established itself as a leading global shipping company, changing to P&O Containers and then representing 50% of what was to be P&O Nedlloyd is a matter of history of course, but the start of that story (taken from 'British Box Business - A History of OCL, edited by Alan Bott OBE and published by SCARA) is told in an article on the PONL Heritage website... Mike has also published a report on the OCL Bay Boats reunion, a gathering of former sea staff who sailed on the company's container ships which took place in early August in Hull.  This was the 15th of the OCL Bay Boats reunions and was very well attended.  The meet-up ran over three days and those attending included some of our SCARA members.   An event report, including photos, is available on the PONL Heritage website...
