P&O 175 celebration

P&O Cruises have today (3 July 2012) celebrated the 175th anniversary of the formation of the P&O Steam Navigation Company.

A short video has been produced which tells the story of the history of P&O from 1837 onwards. This video is narrated by Lord Sterling of Plaistow, the former chairman of the P&O group. Lord Sterling and his Royal Nedlloyd counterpart Leo Berndsen was instrumental in establishing P&O Nedlloyd in 1996-1997.

The P&O Cruises' video, which is hosted on Youtube, lasts just under 20 minutes and covers the development of cargo as well as passenger shipping.
