The 15th annual gathering of former company sea staff and their partners takes place in Hull from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd August. The organisers expect around 40-50 to attend at some point over the three days, most of whom will be members of the 'OCL Bay Boats' Facebook group, but anyone else who sailed on the container ships with OCL, P&O Containers and P&O Nedlloyd is also very welcome to attend.
The event takes place over three days (but you are welcome to come and go as you wish!) The schedule is subject to change, but at the time of writing it reads as follows:
FRIDAY 1 AUGUST
Afternoon: Meet up at the Ebenezer Morley pub (12-14 Anlaby Road, HU1 2PA) which is in the centre of Hull, just a couple of minutes' walk from the Hull railway station.
Evening: To be confirmed but likely to involve visiting some other drinking establishments in the city 😀
SATURDAY 2 AUGUST
Afternoon: Meet at the Minerva pub (Nelson Street, HU1 1XE) which is near the river.
Evening: Gather at the Tigers Lair (or The Lair, Anlaby Road, HU3 2EF) for the main event, which will involve a disco and karaoke. TBC, but the highlight of the evening may be Stevie Parkinson (POC) and his Elvis tribute 🍺
SUNDAY 3 AUGUST
A day to recover, finish the catch-ups, say those farewells until next year and then head for home.
