PONL Kuala Lumpur lunch February 2024
We'd like to thank Patrick Lim Keng Lee for sending us this report of a gathering of former staff from the Kuala Lumpur office (and we think this is probably the first time that we have been able to publish such a report on the day of the reunion itself!):
"Chinese New Year of the Dragon's "Lo Sang" (or "Prosperity Toss") to symbolize abundance, prosperity and vigour, was held over lunch on Saturday, 17 February 2024, by some former colleagues of P&O Nedlloyd Kuala Lumpur. It took place at the very popular Marco Polo Restaurant which is located just diagonally opposite our former PONL Malaysian Head Office at Menara Boustead, Kuala Lumpur, of 18 years ago! Hence for those who attended today, it was really walking down memory lane, "like travelling to work again at PONL" so much so that on their drive along Raja Chulan Road, some of us by default, almost turned right into the Menara Boustead car park, instead of left to Marco Polo Restaurant!
It was a very nostalgic gathering and though only 7 participated, many more could not make it as today was the 8th day of the Chinese New Year with traditional family commitments."
